Composition

Ingredients

Aromatic flavoring by-product (hydrolyzed pork liver and yeast), fructo-oligosaccharides, fish oil (sardine), butyric acid salt (2.0%).

Nutritional Additives

Vitamins: Vitamin B12 - 48 mg/kg; Trace Elements: Zinc (zinc glycinate chelate) - 2,000 mg/kg; Intestinal Flora Stabilizers: Enterococcus faecium - 1.7 × 10^11 CFU/kg.

Analytical Components

Crude protein: 19.20%; Crude fiber: 0.04%; Crude fat: 34.57%; Crude ash: 9.48%; Omega-3 fatty acids: 4.85%; Omega-6 fatty acids: 1.00%

How do its active ingredients work?

Butyric acid

It improves epithelial integrity as it is the preferred metabolic fuel of enterocytes, positively influencing cell proliferation, differentiation, and maturation (increased villi height and reduced crypt depth), thus facilitating nutrient absorption. Butyric acid also reduces intestinal inflammation by decreasing oxidative DNA damage and inducing apoptosis in DNA-damaged cells.

Zinc

It maintains the function and integrity of the intestinal barrier at the level of tight junctions, thus preventing the entry of antigens, toxins, and pathogenic bacteria that cause inflammation.

Omega-3 fatty acids

They modulate the production of eicosanoids, with those resulting from the metabolism of omega-3 fatty acids being less stimulating to the inflammatory response than those resulting from omega-6 fatty acids. Additionally, omega-3 fatty acids are precursors to resolvins and protectins, which are substances that counter-regulate inflammation. They act as agonists of endogenous anti-inflammatory mechanisms and play a significant role in resolving inflammation.

Enterococcus faecium

It improves the balance of the intestinal microbiota. Competition for nutrients, adhesion sites, and the production of antimicrobial substances (short-chain fatty acids, defensins, etc.) inhibit the proliferation of pathogenic bacteria while promoting the growth of beneficial bacteria.

Fructooligosaccharides

Prebiotic component, indicating that it resists digestion and reaches the colon intact, where it serves as a source of energy for beneficial bacteria (Lactobacillus spp, Bacteroides spp, and Bifidobacterium spp), thus stimulating their growth and/or activity. As a result of its fermentation, it reduces the production of toxic substances (ammonia and biogenic amines) and increases the release of short-chain fatty acids (acetate, propionate, lactate, and butyrate) into the intestinal lumen, reducing the presence of pathogenic bacteria (E. coli and C. perfringens), thanks to the reduction of colonic pH.

Vitamin B12

It plays an important role in many biochemical reactions, including DNA synthesis and the synthesis of methionine from homocysteine, as well as in important enzymatic reactions in the citric acid cycle, where it acts as a cofactor. Hypocobalaminemia typically occurs when the specific receptors for cobalamin in the ileum are damaged as a result of an inflammatory disease. Deficiency is accelerated by reduced cobalamin intake and ongoing gastrointestinal losses.

  • Enterokun Mild improves digestive well-being in cases of flatulence, reducing its intensity.
  • Before a predictable stressful situation such as travel, new pets at home, weaning, change of home, etc., Enterokun Mild prevents the onset of possible secondary diarrhea due to one of these or other stressful situations.

It is not recommended to use ENTEROKUN MILD in case of:

Olor Fuerte
