How do its active ingredients work?

Medium-chain fatty acids

The nutritional needs of animals are modified by exercise. The amount of energy required for exercise depends on the total work performed, which varies greatly for athletic animals engaged in intermediate activity. Their energy needs range from 2 to 5 times their resting energy requirements, with athletes engaged in endurance activities requiring more than 5 times their resting energy needs. Due to its energy density, fat is an ideal nutrient to significantly incorporate into the diet of animals engaging in prolonged exercise. Additionally, medium-chain fatty acids (fatty acids with chain lengths of 8 to 12 carbons) do not depend on L-carnitine for transport across the mitochondrial membrane, bypassing this limiting step in fatty acid oxidation.

Branched-chain amino acids

Physical activity increases the animal's protein needs due to an increase in the synthesis of structural and functional proteins, as well as an increase in tissue catabolism. Branched-chain amino acids (leucine, isoleucine, valine) are "essential" and therefore must be replenished through food. Supplementation with branched-chain amino acids reduces exercise-induced protein breakdown and the release of muscle enzymes (indicators of muscle damage). In athetics animals engaging in intermediate exercise (physical activity lasting variable durations from a few minutes to a few hours) such as agility, companion exercise (running, trekking, cycling), canicross, dog dancing, disc dog, dock jumping, bikejoring, skijoring, etc., or in dogs participating in endurance exercise (physical activity lasting several hours) such as mushing, Sportkun Start promotes optimal muscle recovery, improving physical performance during training sessions with your dog.
Sportkun Start provides the same benefits for working animals such as police and military units (customs control, drug detection), guard dogs, hunting dogs, tracking dogs, search and rescue dogs, service dogs (guide dogs and assistance dogs), and herding dogs.

Sportkun Start should not be used in the following cases:

Animals presenting or at risk of hypotension.

How is it administered?

Recommended amount to be mixed with drinking water:

For animals weighing less than 10 kg, it is recommended to reduce the dose by half (2 tablespoons in 1/2 glass of water).

It is recommended to administer 4 hours before starting physical exercise and every 5 km of the route, as long as the activity lasts.

Also, by mixing it with the drinking water, it promotes the rehydration of the animal!
