Enterokun Mild helps improve mild diarrhea.

The nutritional supplement Enterokun Mild® for dogs maintains the intestinal health of your dog in good condition. This is the ideal supplement for dogs with occasional mild diarrhea, flatulence, poor stool quality, or during times of dietary changes in small-sized dogs.

How to administer Enterokun Mild?

It is the go-to supplement for reducing diarrhea and preventing its occurrence. It can be administered to animals of any age! Thanks to its active ingredients such as probiotics, prebiotics, and anti-inflammatory agents, this dietary supplement restores the microbiome and intestinal mucosa, promoting the rapid recovery of your dog's intestinal conditions.

Composition

Ingredients

Fish oil (from sardines), fructo-oligosaccharides, flavoring by-product (hydrolyzed pork and chicken liver), butyric acid salt (2.5%).

Nutritional Additives

Vitamins: Vitamin B12 - 250 mg/kg; Trace Elements: Zinc (glycine zinc chelate) - 2,500 mg/kg; Intestinal Flora Stabilizers: Enterococcus faecium - 1.2 x 10^11 CFU/kg.

Analytical Components

Crude protein 6.66%; Crude fiber 0.03%; Crude fat 39.63%; Crude ash 15.85%; Omega 3 fatty acids 10.71%; Omega 6 fatty acids 2.23%

How do its active ingredients work?

Butyric acid

It improves epithelial integrity as it is the preferred metabolic fuel of enterocytes, positively influencing cell proliferation, differentiation, and maturation (increased villi height and decreased crypt depth), thus facilitating nutrient absorption. Butyric acid also acts by reducing intestinal inflammation, decreasing oxidative damage to DNA, and inducing apoptosis in cells with DNA damage.

Zinc

It maintains the function and integrity of the intestinal barrier at the level of tight junctions, thus preventing the entry of antigens, toxins, and pathogenic bacteria that cause inflammation.

They modulate the production of eicosanoids, with the eicosanoids resulting from the metabolism of omega-3 fatty acids being less stimulatory to the inflammatory response than those resulting from omega-6 fatty acids. Additionally, omega-3 fatty acids are the precursors of resolvins and protectins, which are substances that counter-regulate inflammation and act as agonists of endogenous anti-inflammatory mechanisms, significantly contributing to the resolution of inflammation.

Enterococcus faecium

Improves the balance of the intestinal microbiota. Competition for nutrients, adhesion sites, and the production of antimicrobial substances (short-chain fatty acids, defensins, etc.) inhibit the proliferation of pathogenic bacteria, while promoting the growth of beneficial bacteria.

Fructooligosaccharides

Prebiotic component, which indicates that it resists digestion and reaches the colon intact where it serves as a source of energy for beneficial bacteria (Lactobacillus spp, Bacteroides spp, and Bifidobacterium spp), thereby stimulating their growth and/or activity. As a result of its fermentation, it decreases the production of toxic substances (ammonia and biogenic amines) and increases the release of short-chain fatty acids (acetate, propionate, lactate, and butyrate) into the intestinal lumen, reducing the presence of pathogenic bacteria (E. coli and C. perfringens), thanks to the reduction of colonic pH.

Vitamin B12

It plays an important role in many biochemical reactions (including DNA synthesis and the synthesis of methionine from homocysteine), as well as in important enzymatic reactions in the citric acid cycle, where it acts as a cofactor. Hypocobalaminemia typically occurs when specific receptors for cobalamin in the ileum are damaged as a result of inflammatory disease. The deficiency is accelerated by reduced cobalamin intake and ongoing gastrointestinal losses.

To whom and for what purpose?

  • In cases of mild, occasional diarrhea or poor fecal quality, Enterokun Mild helps reduce the use of antibiotics and immunosuppressive agents.
  • During and after antibiotic treatment, this supplement helps prevent potential secondary diarrhea caused by their use.
  • Enterokun Mild improves digestive well-being in cases of flatulence, reducing its intensity.
  • In the face of predictable stressful situations such as travel, new pets at home, weaning, change of residence, etc., Enterokun Mild prevents the onset of possible secondary diarrhea due to these or other stressful situations.
  • Before a dietary change, Enterokun Mild maintains intestinal balance, preventing diarrhea caused by the change in diet.

ENTEROKUN MILD is not recommended in case of:

  • Food allergy to fish or during periods of exclusion diet treatment.

How is it administered?

Daily recommendation to be added on top of the food. This dose can be divided into different servings throughout the day:

Weight Tablespoons* Duration of container
<10 kg 0.5 11 days
10-20 kg 1.0 5 days
20-30 kg 1.5 3.5 days
>30 kg 2.0 2.5 days

*11.8 g per tablespoon.
The spoon is included in the package.

This container is suitable for an occasional diarrhea situation or for a moment of dietary change in small-sized dogs. If you want to address a recurrent or chronic diarrhea situation, or prevent intestinal imbalance during a dietary change in a large-sized dog, we recommend Enterokun Mild in bottle format.

Enterokun Mild for dogs can be administered together with any type of diet (dry, homemade or commercial cooked, BARF, or dehydrated). Additionally, it can be administered chronically without the need for any rest period between bottles.

How long should I administer it?

  • In cases of occasional diarrhea: It is recommended to administer it for at least 5 days and continue as long as the symptoms persist.
  • As a preventive measure during and after antibiotic treatment: Administer it for the duration of the antibiotic treatment and continue for at least 7 days after the last dose of antibiotic.
  • To reduce flatulence: For at least 15 days.
  • Before a predictable stressful situation such as travel, new pets at home, weaning, change of home, etc.: 3 days before the stressful situation, during the days of the stressful situation, and for 3 days following the end of the stressful situation.
  • Before a dietary change: 3 days before starting the transition to the new food and for the following 7 days.

Recomendado!! :)
