Cats happier with Mindkun

The nutritional supplement Mindkun® promotes a sense of calm and well-being in cats under stressful conditions. This is the ideal supplement to use during environmental or routine changes, car travel, socialization with other animals, or as support to modify behavior. It's the go-to supplement for reducing your cat's occasional nervousness. It can be administered to animals of any age!

Why choose Mindkun for cats?

Mindkun for cats is made from natural active ingredients, commonly found in foods, which synergistically interact with each other. Thanks to its active principles, this dietary supplement promotes a sense of calm and well-being, reducing stress and anxiety.

Composition

Glucose, flavoring by-product (hydrolyzed pork liver and yeast), hydrolyzed bovine casein (1.8%).

Nutritional Additives

Vitamins: Vitamin B6 - 250 mg/kg, Niacinamide - 1,670 mg/kg; Amino acids: L-tryptophan - 16,670 mg/kg.

Analytical Components

Crude protein 15.85%; Crude fiber 0.00%; Crude fat 10.19%; Crude ash 6.78%

How do its active ingredients work?

L-Tryptophan

It is the metabolic precursor of serotonin, the neurotransmitter known to induce a sense of calmness and drowsiness. Studies have shown that low levels of tryptophan increase aggression, anger, and depression, while high levels have a therapeutic effect on pathologically aggressive patients and promote a sense of well-being and elevated mood.

Glucose

The transport of tryptophan across the blood-brain barrier depends on plasma concentrations of tryptophan and other large neutral amino acids (LNAA; tyrosine, phenylalanine, leucine, isoleucine, and valine), as these compete for the same transport mechanism. A high postprandial level of insulin in the blood after a carbohydrate load favors the transport of tryptophan to the brain because it mediates the uptake of LNAA in muscle but not tryptophan, which is largely bound to plasma albumin, increasing the tryptophan/LNAA ratio in the blood and favoring the transport of the latter into the brain.

Vitamina B

It is necessary in the synthesis of serotonin from tryptophan by the enzyme L-amino acid decarboxylase.

Vitamin B3

It suppresses the activity of tryptophan 2,3-dioxygenase, which is one of the key enzymes in the conversion of tryptophan to niacin. If tryptophan is converted to niacin, it becomes unavailable as a precursor of serotonin in the brain, and therefore, supplementation with vitamin B3 can reduce the "loss" of tryptophan through the synthesis of nicotinic acid.

Triptic hydrolyzate of bovine casein

It is a bioactive peptide derived from the trypsin hydrolysis of αs1-casein present in cow's milk, which has affinity for GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) receptors, exerting an effect similar to benzodiazepines. It has been shown that α-casozepine improves animals' reactions when interacting with strangers, fear-related signs (including aggression), as well as neurovegetative signs, often related to stress and anxiety.

To whom and for what purpose?

  • In situations of acute stress such as loud noises, changes in environment or routine, car rides, visits from unfamiliar people, vet visits, socializing with other animals, etc., Mindkun reduces your cat's nervousness and distress. Mindkun will help the whole family get through those difficult moments more calmly.
  • In case of chronic stress situations such as lack of physical space, absence of activity or environmental stimuli, Mindkun promotes a sense of calm and well-being, improving the quality of life for your furry friend.
  • Mindkun is an ideal tool to support behavior modification work with a professional, as it reduces nervousness and increases tolerance to stimuli, making therapeutic exercises more beneficial and manageable for your cat.
  • For elderly animals or in case of disrupted sleep patterns, Mindkun promotes a sense of calm and well-being, favoring sleep regulation and improving your cat's quality of life.

Usage of MINDKUN is not recommended in the following cases:

  • Animals with hyperglycemia.

Caution! Mindkun may enhance the effects of benzodiazepines.

How is it administered?

Daily recommendation to be administered, preferably between meals to enhance the effect of its active ingredients.

Spoons* Duration of the container
0.5 10 days

*8.6 g per spoon.
The spoon is included in the container.

If the powder texture bothers your furry friend, you can add a little water to the recommended dose to make a paste and facilitate administration.

In cases of known and predictable stress factors, it is recommended to administer Mindkun 40 minutes before the stressful trigger occurs.

This container is suitable for punctual stress situations. If you want to address a chronic stress situation, we recommend Mindkun in a jar format.

Mindkun for cats is not sedative or soporific and can be administered chronically without causing any addiction in the animal. However, in case of chronic treatments, it is recommended to withdraw the supplementation gradually to avoid relapses. Once the cat has recovered, reduce the daily dose by half for 15 days and then administer half the dose every other day for another 15 days.

It poses no risk if another animal in the household ingests the Mindkun supplement occasionally.

How long should I administer it?

  • In situations of punctual stress such as noises, changes in environment or routine, car rides, visits from unknown people, veterinarian visits, socialization with other animals, etc.: Administer daily at least 4 days before the stressful factor and/or maintain it while it persists. In cases of high stress levels, doubling the dose the day before and while the stress factor is present is recommended.
  • In situations of chronic stress such as lack of physical space, absence of activity or environmental stimuli, or in elderly animals or in case of disrupted sleep: Administer daily as long as the symptoms persist.
  • Support to work on behavior modification with a professional: Administer daily while working on behavior modification. During the first two weeks, the daily dose can even be doubled. Then, it is recommended to gradually decrease to avoid relapses. When the professional indicates, reduce the daily dose by half for 15 days and then administer half the dose every other day for another 15 days.

Gato hiperactivo

No sabría valorar
