Vitamin E

Inflammation generates a large number of free radicals, which in turn accelerate the inflammatory process. Vitamin E is one of the most effective antioxidants for protecting the polyunsaturated fatty acids that constitute cell membranes from oxidation. Omega-3 fatty acids

They improve the clinical symptoms of osteoarthritis, orthopedic clinical examination, ground reaction force analysis during walking, and reduce pain. This is a clear example of the application of nutrigenomics in the nutrition of dogs and cats. Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) inhibits the overexpression of aggrecanases by blocking the signal at the messenger RNA level, thereby reducing the degradation of articular cartilage. Additionally, omega-3 fatty acids modulate the production of eicosanoids, with those resulting from the metabolism of omega-3 fatty acids being less stimulating to the inflammatory response than those resulting from omega-6 fatty acids. Furthermore, omega-3 fatty acids are precursors of resolvins and protectins, which are counterregulatory substances to inflammation that act as agonists of endogenous anti-inflammatory mechanisms and significantly contribute to the resolution of inflammation.

    • High risk: Animals with pre-existing orthopedic diseases, elderly animals, or those suffering from trauma or obesity.
  • For animals with a high level of activity, Arthrokun prevents the development of possible degenerative joint problems associated with exercise.

 

Use of ARTHROKUN is not recommended in cases of:

  • Patients with altered coagulation, concomitant administration with platelet aggregation inhibitors, or conditions involving bleeding.
  • Situations with iron deficiency or other iron-related diseases.

How is it administered?

Daily recommendation to be added on top of the food. This dose can be divided into different servings.

Arthrokun for dogs can be administered along with any type of diet (dry, homemade or commercial cooked, BARF, or dehydrated). Additionally, it can be administered chronically without the need for any resting period between containers.

How long should I administer it?

  • In case of existing chronic joint problems: It is recommended to administer for at least 1 month and continue as long as the symptoms persist.
  • For chronic joint problems with symptoms under control: Reduce the recommended daily dose by half as maintenance.
  • Animals at risk of developing chronic joint problems (large breeds with rapid growth, dogs with existing orthopedic diseases, elderly animals, or those with obesity): Administer half of the recommended daily dose as preventive treatment.
  • Animals with a high level of activity: Administer half of the recommended daily dose as preventive treatment.

Molt contenta amb el producte, i l'atenció de Kun-Kay. Pren aquest suplement de forma preventiva, ja que té una petita artrosis en una pota. Sembla que està més animat per moure's i córrer, gràcies per la recomanació!

Es para una podenca Ibizenca sorda, tiene casi 10 años creemos... ha sido su primer bote y de momento no hemos visto resultado, hemos comprado otro, también hay que recalcar que ya esta avanzada la movilidad de las patas traseras... no es para prevenir en este caso. Pero si ayuda, porque no intentarlo. Confiamos en que la mejoría se vea un poquito más adelante. La calor tampoco ayuda y estos días esta apretando mucho.
