Composition

Ingredients

Peppermint essential oil, rosemary extract, basil extract, tansy, lavender water, aloe vera, and panthenol.

To whom and for what purpose?

  • Apply this lotion preferably before walks to maximize its effectiveness.
  • Antibugskun can also be sprayed on carpets, beds, sofas, blankets, etc. to repel parasites found in these areas. It acts immediately. Repeat as many times as necessary depending on the degree of infestation.
  • In high-risk and incidence areas, we recommend administering Antibugskun along with more potent repellents such as systemic insecticides and acaricides. In this case, Antibugskun’s role will be important as a first line of defense.

Use of ANTIBUGSKUN is not recommended in case of:

  • Under 3 months of age.
  • Known allergic reaction to any of its active ingredients.

How is it administered?

Apply 1 to 2 sprays/kg of weight (the longer the hair, the more sprays) at about 20-30 cm from the animal every 6 hours, while the risk of infestation persists.

It is advisable to focus especially on areas where the animal has the most contact with the environment, such as the paws, the inner thigh, the tail, etc. It is also advisable to apply on the neck and the upper back area, as this is where fleas and ticks usually settle. Avoid contact of the product with the eyes or mucous membranes.

There is no problem if the animals bathe in rivers, lakes, or at the beach, since this is not a biocidal product nor harmful to aquatic ecosystems. However, in this case, the product must be reapplied when they come out of the water to maintain its effect.

How long should I administer it?

  • Apply this lotion preferably before walks to maximize its effectiveness.
  • Antibugskun can also be sprayed on carpets, beds, sofas, blankets, etc. to repel parasites found in these areas. It acts immediately. Repeat as many times as necessary depending on the degree of infestation.

How do their active ingredients work?

Peppermint

It is a broad-spectrum repellent that effectively combats fleas and infestations of them, as well as demodex mites. It prevents bites by reducing the CO2 emitted by the body and makes the human presence less detectable by arachnids and insects. It will also help to relieve bites.

Tansy

Powerful repellent against flies and mosquitoes thanks to its content of natural pyrethrins. These act on the nervous transmission of insects, causing paralysis and, finally, death.

Rosemary

Besides its tick-repellent function, it is a powerful antiseptic that helps reduce the proliferation of bacteria and fungi that destabilize the microbiota caused by flea and tick bites, as well as other insects. Additionally, rosemary water provides deep hydration, reaching the innermost layers of the dermis.

Basil

It is a repellent, insecticide, and inhibits growth thanks to its content of estragole, citronellol, limonene, and trans-nerolidol. These volatile compounds affect the insects' sensors, causing them to lose their detection ability and pushing them to move away to recover it.

Lavender

Besides being a repellent against flies, fleas, and mosquitoes, lavender water tones, refreshes, disinfects, and contributes to the balance of skin and hair.

Aloe Vera

Combats dryness of the skin and hair thanks to its moisturizing properties. It also has antiseptic and antibacterial properties, making it useful for burns and other skin conditions, and its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties help relieve pain and inflammation (it is a soothing agent for the epidermis).

Panthenol

It is a derivative of vitamin B5, an ingredient with moisturizing, emollient, and anti-inflammatory properties. When applied topically to the skin, it converts into pantothenic acid. It has a protective effect on the skin barrier in altered skin, for example, with atopic dermatitis.

paws, inner thighs, tail, neck, and upper back.
